Road Trip Tips...

Hello lovelies...

We're taking a 12 hour road trip this Sunday and the nerves are building. Driving 3 hours with the girls is uncomfortable for me and 12 hours just seems nuts. Obviously, it will be worth a week of vacation but I'm searching for any and every way to help alleviate the stress.

Share with me your road trip strategies. I need tips, secrets, medications...whatever!!!

I want to be prepared and enjoy my time. Help me!

Magnetic paperdolls. You can make them really easily and take cookie sheets in the car. The girls can play with them right there in there seats. My favorite invention for long road trips with kids is the portable dvd player. Keeps my kids quiet for an hour or so at a time. If I think of more I'll let you know.

M&M car bingo. Maybe your's are too young but my mom used to do that with my sister and I all the time!
If you have a portable dvd player, you can borrow our leappad game thingy. It plugged into our car dvd and has an art pad too.
Special wrapped (cheap!) gifts or snacks for every 100 miles. We did that through our Dallas trip on the plane and Andrew really dug it.
I have a book that I'll look through for more ideas.
And, um, Mike's hard lemonade? :-)
